I am really excited for Columbia. But even though I'm so ready and eager to go, I'm still super nervous about it. For a while there I was holding a solid brick of security and stability in my hands, but in the past few days it feels like that brick has disintegrated and now the pieces are slowly slipping through my fingers.
It's hard to keep telling myself that everything will be okay. Even though I've lost my brick, I'm so so so so so thankful I still have the one person who is my platform, always supporting me and encouraging me to reach out for my dreams. I love you, Jesse.

Just try to see in the dark, just try to make it work to feel the fear before you're here...

Spice up your life!
So I really, really dislike what young girls have for "idols" these days. Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, the JoBros, none of them could EVER live up to the Spice Girls.
Yes. The Spice Girls.
I love love love love love the Spice Girls. I recently found my old CD and I've been jamming out to it for the past few weeks. This stuff is actually really good. The music is very diverse and original, and the lyrics are so empowering. While Miley and TSwift sing about broken hearts and not being the right girl, the Spice Girls are all about GIRRRL POWERRR, and not needing any stupid guy to depend on. That's right. Being a strong and independent woman is not only something I want for myself, but it's something I want for my future daughters and what I want my future son's to look for in a woman. I honestly think if I would've listened to the Spice Girls between the ages of 7 and now, I would've avoided a bunch of unnecessary problems in my life because I would've had better self esteem. 90's girls know their shit.

"One of our first class passengers would like to sing you a song inspired by one of our coach passengers...
and since we let our first class passengers do pretty much whatever they want, here he is..."
So today is June 9th, 2010, even though I spent all afternoon at work labeling things 6/8, I suppose it's only right to write a very special blog about my superduperwonderfulamazing boyfriend, Jesse. Making a special appearance in this blog is my bff fo lyfe, Hannah.
Basically, 2 years ago today, Hannah introduced me to this wonderful guy. At this time, I was perfectly damn content being single. No guy for me, no sirree. I was taking a few years at community college and planning on shipping off to Florida to chase after a degree in music business. After a half-hour or so of Hannah telling me "how great he'd be for me" and "how nice he is", I finally gave up and told her to send him my screen name. A few minutes later, I get a notification saying he would like to add me to his friends list. Shortly after accepting this request, I got my first message from Jesse. I think we'd all agree that it'd be totally lame if I remembered the exact first thing he said to me, but I'm sure it was along the lines of "Hey :)". I more than likely said "Hey" back. We can pretty much say that the rest is history. :)
